June Favourites

Saturday 27 June 2015

Hey guys,

Another month gone and its only 4 days until my birthday and I’ll finally be able to drive! Anyway here are some of my favourites from June.

My first favourite has been the Blackberry bath bomb from Lush, I was ill at the beginning of June and I used the bath bomb on one of the days I was feeling really ill and it was so good, the bath bomb smelt amazing and it made the water quite oily which made my skin feel super soft. The bath was very relaxing and so comforting; this bath bomb is definitely one I want to repurchase!

My second favourite is from Newlook, which is my striped shirt that I absolutely love! I’ve been wearing it with a pair of top shop charcoal grey ripped jeans and a pair of Topshop black ankle boots that can be found in my last fashion haul which can be found HERE.

My next favourite is a beauty item, which is from Topshop, and it’s the nail polish pool party, which is a turquoise blue. It’s such a nice summery colour. These nail polishes do need two to three layers and when it’s being applied to the nails it can be quite thin but apart from that these are really good nail polishes that aren’t too expensive.

Another beauty favourite of mine is the Revlon  colour burst lip gloss in 006 Strawberry Fraise. I love these lip glosses I own four of them, but this one is the one I wear the most, it’s a lovely colour that is perfect for spring or summer, the lip glosses themselves last quite a while and are very pigmented, this lip-gloss is definitely my go to lip product when I don’t want to wear a lipstick.

And my final favourite of the month is a TV favourite, which is The 100, the show is set in the future, after a nuclear war destroyed civilisation on Earth and some people from the Ark (this spaceship survivors live on) sends down 100 delinquents back to earth and so much happens its brilliant and there’s currently two seasons of this show.

So these have been some of my favourites for June, what have been some of your favourites this month?

My Top 10 Favourite Apps

Saturday 20 June 2015

My first favourite app is my most used app, which is Instagram my username is _embrown123_ , I love to take photos and it’s a thing I’ve loved to do ever since I was a young kid, I always used to pick my dads camera up and just take photos of anything and everything. But I love seeing other people’s photos so Instagram is my favourite for that.

My second favourite app is Spotify, I always listen to music doesn’t matter the time of day or where I am I’m always listening to it. I have Spotify premium  (if you’re a student you can get 50% discount and you only pay £4.99 a month) I have the premium so I can use offline mode so when I’m travelling to college or anywhere really it doesn’t use my data up. But Spotify if you don’t know is a music-streaming app where you can create playlists and listen to others made and find music based on what you listen to already.

Tumblr is my third favourite even though the app is pretty rubbish and doesn’t really load properly I still love to go on Tumblr and when I’m bored I tend to go on here and browse aimlessly for a couple of hours.

My next favourite is Twitter I love to just go through when I’m bored and see what’s going on plus I have notifications on for certain people and I love to keep up with what’s what, like if YouTubers post new videos or any exciting news by bands/ singers.  And I use it to post my blog with a link so it’s a big essential for me.

Snapchat, as much as I hate taking pictures of myself I often talk to my friends and like to see what my friends are up to on a day to day bases and I have YouTubers and the cast of Pretty Little Liars on there so I love to see what’s going on with different people.

Bloglovin’ is another essential app that I use If I have a break at college or am on the bus travelling Its such a good app for reading other people blogs that you follow and you get notifications to say when someone has uploaded a new post. It’s definitely a great one to use when your bored.

My Fitness Pal is a one I use everyday, I want to loose weight so I use this to keep up with my calorie intake and the foods I’m eating to keep my fat low and just to see how good these foods I’m eating actually are.

Unidays again another essential, if you’re a student get this app! You sign up with your college/ university and your student ID number and it tells you where you can get student discounts and how much the discount is. Also I can’t actually buy stuff online with my student ID for some reason but signing up with this you get giving the code to use online, definitely a app to get if you’re a student for discounts.

The Health App on the Apple iPhone It tracks your steps everyday and I love to see how much I do and it tells me how many flights I’ve climbed etc. there’s also an emergency contact page that you can put details on like blood type etc which can help if anything ever happened so paramedics can have information to help your or contact your emergency contacts. You can also connect it to other health apps and it can track much more.

My final favourite app is spikes it’s a game that you have a bird and you tap the screen to move it up and let go to let the bird drop, it goes back and forth between two walls and you have to avoid the spikes, it’s a stupid little game that gets you very addicted.

So these are 10 of my favourite apps that I use a lot, what are some of your favourite apps?

Fashion Haul

Saturday 13 June 2015

After realising how many of Haul’s I’ve done over this year and the last I’m realising I really need to stop buying stuff, but here is another fashion haul so I’m going to start now.

So I’m going to start with this tote bag I bought from Newlook, I mainly bought this for my holiday but I also realised that it makes a good bag for college. Its pretty simple just black, with black and white striped sides, there are no pockets or anything in the inside but it’s a big back that is perfect for the beach. I bought this when it was £18 but currently this bag is £9.

Another bag I bought from Newlook is This Clutch it’s £10, I bought it for a Family party, but I also needed something for my holiday later this year so I mainly bought it for then, it’s just simply black, with a gold bar on the front and on the inside there is a small zip pocket, with a small pocket for your phone which surprisingly will fit an iPhone 6.

I bought this top from Newlook which was £16 and it’s quite like the next top I’m about to show you guys which has two little shoe lace straps and then two little off sleeves that hang off the shoulder, which has a black Aztec pattern down the middle it’s quite a festival, holiday style top that is so light and perfect for the hotter weather.

And the final thing I have bought from Newlook was this Top, which is the same style as the top above, but it’s got a different pattern on it, to me it’s quite a festival styled top and the two tops are I made with a very light material, which is perfect for chucking in your suitcase for your holiday, as it’s the type of material that won’t crease. This was around £12.

From Primark I bought this cute PJ set which was £5. The top is a simple grey with a couple of buttons and the shorts are a silk, which have some birds on. They were really cheep and really cute so I thought why not.

Another item I bought from Primark is this large wash bag that is black and white with a Aztec pattern, with a yellow bottom and zip. This was only £4.

Another thing that was recently bought is this gold necklace from H&M, which was £3.99 it’s a simple gold tree branch necklace.

My final fashion item is these boots from Topshop that were £35 they’re called the Bernie Cut Out boots, they’re ankle boots with cut outs around the ankle and have some gold detailing on them, with a zip on the back to fasten.

The last couple of items aren’t really fashion but I bought this iPhone case from Iconemesis, it’s light blue and has feathers on the back, it’s a hardback rubber case that covers the edges of the screen. I paid £10 for this (£11 including delivery.)

So this is everything I’ve bought recently, I’ll post again next week.

The Body Shop BB Cream Review

Saturday 6 June 2015

So a while ago I bought the Body Shop BB Cream after reading some reviews about it. Now this product claims to…
-Adapt to your skin tone,
-Have a light to medium coverage
-Have an even Finish
-24 hour hydration
-Non-Clogging

Now I’ve tried it out a couple of times and I’ve got some faults to pick with the products. Number One is the fact that it’s too orange, I picked this up in the lightest shade  you can get which is 00 and I’m not that pale but I do usually have to get the lightest shades and this one is too dark (well orange) for me.

The second fault is it’s very messy because of how runny the product is so loads of product comes out and gets around the end quite badly. I do have some positives to this it does have a light to medium coverage like it claims and an even finish, but I wouldn’t say it’s hydrating. It seemed to have dried my skin out more and baring in mind i had used a moisturiser that morning about 2 hours before i had started to apply this BB Cream.

I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who has pale skin because it literally turned my skin orange. I mean it may be different if I tan during the summer but for now I’m not a fan of this products, I can’t compare it to any over BB Creams, as this is the first one I’ve tried.

Have any of you tried this product, what are your thoughts?
