March Favourites

Saturday 28 March 2015

So March is almost over with and it’s officially spring! Yet in the UK we’re still getting weather that’s quite winter like with temperatures of like 2 degrees but there has been some sun! Anyways here are my favourites for March.

My first favourite of March has been The Walking Dead. I started watching this a couple of weeks ago and I got hooked on it instantly I ended up watching all five seasons in 2 and half weeks I love it! It’s such an addictive TV program as you never know what will happen next there’s so many cliff hangers and it always has you on edge and I absolutely love it, I love the characters and it’s basically just brilliant.

My next favourite is the nail polish A-List by Essie. I’m a massive fan of the Essie nail polishes I find they’re easy to apply and the look stunning and last so long but I’ve been loving this nail polish it’s been on my nails for the entire month!

Another beauty favourite of mine has been The Body Shop’s Instablur Primer I absolutely love this, I’ve never really used primers before this but I did get a sample of the Maybelline one and didn’t like it but this one I love, a couple of weeks ago I did a full review on it so if any of you want to know more you can find that post HERE.

My favourite music favourite is a song by American Hi-fi, which is called The Art Of Loosing, and I just love this song, it’s been on replay so much.

And my final favourite of the month is a singer and I’ve just enjoyed his music a lot over the last couple of weeks and it’s James Bay I love the songs Hold Back The River, Collide and Craving he’s just a really good artist and his music is so good.

And that is all of my Favourites for March, what have been some of your favourites from this month?

The Body Shop Instablur Review

Sunday 15 March 2015

So recently i bought the Body Shop Instablur primer as i've heard a lot of good things about it and i got a 35% off online and decided i'd buy that along with the Body Shop All In One BB Cream and to start with my first impression was that i loved the packaging i loved the little bubble with 'instablur' in it and i was very excited to use it. i've used it quite a bit and i love this stuff. i've never used a primer before this one, but i did have a sample of the Maybelline Baby skin and after using the sample i really didn't like it, it literally felt like silicon so i was a little worried that this one would be very similar. But i actually love this stuff you can't feel it on your skin and it takes all shine away from your face and you can apply your make up straight after.

The Body Shops website description for the product claims that the primer is...

- Shine controlling for 12 hours
- Reduces the appearance of pores
- Hides blemishes
- Complexion hiding
- Makes your make up last longer

I would definitely say that the product does all of that, last week i had quite a bad week with my spots and i used the primer and my friends and i were talking and i complained about my spots and having an annoying red one under my eyebrow and she told me that she couldn't see it, i didn't use any concealer on the spot just the primer then my foundation (Bourjois Healthy Mix) and after using it more times it definitely blurs spots and blemishes which i absolutely love!  i haven't tested the shine control thing but it lasts during my day even though i don't have very oily skin i do sometimes get some shine a little on my forehead and chin but not very often.

and for extending the length of my make up i'd say that is very true i use this especially on my days where i'm out all day or finish college late so i'm wearing make up from 6:30am to about 6pm and when i use this i find that my make up is in very good condition and that i don't need to re-do any of my make up throughout the day apart from my lipstick.

i do love this primer a lot and i think it's one of the best ones i have used and i think that i won't be moving on from this for a long time you can get this either in store or online at The Body Shop for £14.

Have any of you tried this primer? if you have what do you think of it?

The Me-Time Tag

Saturday 7 March 2015

So a couple of weeks ago I was looking through bloglovin’ and I found this tag on someone’s blog and unfortunately I forgot to make a note of who’s blog it was on and I couldn’t find the blog it was on but this is the Me-time tag and I hope you guys enjoy reading it.

1. What do you watch or read during me-time?
I tend to watch more films or TV programs during me-time so it’ll probably be something like Pretty Little Liars, Vampire Diaries or maybe some films like The Hunger Games, Divergent or maybe something that is more of a drama like If I Stay.

2. What do you wear during me-time?

Usually my me-time will be on a night time so I’ll tend to wear some pyjamas and depending on how warm it is will depend on if I wear shorts or long pj bottoms.

3. What are your me-time beauty products?
I love to use Lush products or Soap and glory so I’ll tend to have a bath and I’ll use a Lush bubble bar or one of their bath bombs and after I’ll use some of the Soap and Glory moisturisers.

4. Current favourite nail polish?
I’m going to say Essie I’ve been wearing them a lot recently but I can’t choose I’m going to go with either Bahamma Mama or A-List.

5. What do you eat/drink during me-time?
I think it depends on what mood I’m in but sometimes I’ll have some popcorn that’s usually my go to but sometimes I’ll just eat something as simple as cereal or maybe something more unhealthy, it just depends.

6. Current favourite candle?
I haven’t really got a favourite candle at the moment but my current ones that I’m burning is an Ikea one which is called ‘Sinnlig’ and it’s a lavender scented candle but I also havemy Yankee Candle which is the scent ‘Sunlight On Snow’ which I absolutely love!

7. Do you ever have outdoorsy me-time?

no I prefer to stay cosy and comfortable during me-time so I’ll tend to stay in the house and in my room during it.

8. Would you ever go see a movie alone?
I don’t think I have the guts to do that to be honest I can just manage eating alone in somewhere like subway or costa alone but I don’t think I could go and see a film I’d feel too awkward.

9. Favourite online store?

I’m going to say either Newlook or Boohoo I absolutely love them websites I always find things I love and everything I’ve ordered from these two shops I’ve loved a lot!

10. What else do you during me-time?
I usually sit and watch some films or tv but I’ll sometimes watch youtube videos or maybe Netflix along with sitting on the internet or listening to music, it just depends on the type of mood I’m in.

So this was my me-time tag I hope you guys enjoyed this and I tag anyone that wants to do it, if you decide to write this leave a link in the comments or even leave answers in the comments.
