Clothes and Makeup Haul

Saturday 20 September 2014

So It’s been quite a busy few weeks for me as I’ve started college up and I’ve realised since starting there that I’ve been missing a few bits of clothing and when I got an email saying they had a 20% off I had a look and I bought a few things. I would like to say that the prices I have wrote on here are the original prices that are on their website, I did not pay these prices for the stuff because of the discount.

First off I bought this ‘nothing to wear’ black long sleeve jumper which was £14.99. I bought this with the initial thought of it’s going to start to get colder and I could do with another jumper, as a lot of my long sleeve tops are very thin and I only own about 3 jumpers I think.

The next thing I bought was this short sleeve grey top, it’s just a basic top which has a gold zip on the back. No particular reason why I bought it, I just liked it and thought I’d get it as it’s the perfect colour for autumn/ winter and this was £9.99.

The third thing I bought was this thin long sleeve grey top with a split back. When I first saw this I thought it would be interesting and when I bought it I wasn’t very keen but I surprisingly really like it now, this was £17.99.

The second last thing I bought was this red vest top which also has a zip on the back, this was probably the cheapest thing I bought which cost me £7.99.

And the final thing I bought from Newlook is this pair of black suede wedge ankle boots. Which are my favourite things I bought and they cost me £24.99.

The next few things I got are some things my mam got me from her cruise a few weeks ago, which is a set of Revlon lip-glosses. She didn’t pay for them sepretly she got them for me in this set of four and she paid around £16 for them.

Revlon Colourburst lip gloss- 004 Pink Ice £5.99

Revlon Colourburst lip gloss- 008 Peony Pivoine £5.99

Revlon Colourburst lip gloss- 010 Hot Pink £5.99

Revlon Colourburst lip gloss- 006 Strawberry Fraise £5.99

Also a few weeks ago went and bought myself two mac products as an award for getting into college and passing my GCSE’s so I picked up these.

The Mac matte lipstick in the colour lady danger and this is my favourite red lipstick, it’s such a nice shade it’s more of an orange toned red, which is such a nice shade for if you have fair skin.

Also to go with the lipstick I bought a Mac lip liner, which is called cherry and this, is what the woman in mac used with lady danger when I got the tester done and it looks really nice together so I thought since I’ve never tried a lip liner I’d give one ago and it does make quite a difference.

So that was all the stuff I’ve bought over the last two maybe three weeks and I hope you enjoyed it and I’ll post as soon as I can.

Sunday Thoughts #5

Sunday 14 September 2014

So I thought today I’d do a chatty post as a lot of things have changed over the last two weeks and I thought I’d explain a bit on why I haven’t been posting as frequently.

So to start with I started college last week on the 2nd and compared to my usual school routine it’s changed quite drastically. When I was in high school I used to have about half an hour free before I had to leave the house, which gave me time to do anything, needed or start blog posts. It also takes me an hour to travel there. I have to get a lift to the metro station and then get the metro then walk for 10 minutes to get to the college.

Also I now finish at different days each day like Mondays and Fridays I finish at 2:35pm but on Tuesdays and Thursdays I finish at 4:40pm and then Wednesdays 3pm so it’s quite mixed and either way I don’t get home until around 6ish but by the time I do basic things such as removing makeup, showering, eating it’s about 7-8pmish and it’s tiring.

So it’s harder for me to take photos needed for a blog post and find time to actually post because when I get home I’m ready for bed I’m so tired. I know there are weekends to do stuff for my blogs but sometimes I have to do homework. (Right now I’m meant to be doing English lit homework and catch up on the work I missed on Thursday and I’m meant to be doing some presentation for media, which I still haven’t even started.)

But even though my frequent posts have sort of stopped I am still going to try and post when I can which will most likely be a Saturday and I’ll probably be able to keep these Sunday thoughts up and maybe Monday posts too it just depends if I can find time to do it.

Anyway so apart from the time management problem I’m having at the moment college is actually great, I love the building and I love the fact there is a costa inside the building which most of my money has been spent on (oops) but yeah I’ve met some amazing people being here and I feel like I’ve opened up more and have became much more confident than I used to be. I mean I’m still quite hesitant about talking out in front of an entire class or a large group of people, but I’m fine talking to individuals or two or three people. All the teachers are very friendly and so are the students.

I often have regrets going to the college because of how much it’s costing for travel and food, but I kind of don’t regret it because compared to if I stayed at my old school to do the sixth form there I probably wouldn’t have gained the confidence I have now.

My advice for if your choosing what to do between staying at say your old school for sixth form or going to a sixth form college or even just college I’d say go out of your comfort zone and try something new. I was so nervous for my first day because I left a lot of people behind and went somewhere where I knew no one, I was alone, but basically what I learned was you are all in the same boat, a lot of people will have no one with them or maybe they do but they have no one they know in your classes. There’s this massive probability that they’re just as scared and nervous as you are, worrying that you’re not going to make friends and spend the rest of the day by themselves, but honestly you will have to talk to people and it will be the completely fine.

You just need to get out of your confident zone a little bit, it is hard to do that and not everyone will want to but you won’t regret going out of it, but you might regret not getting out of it.

I remember the day before I went to college and I was so nervous and I kept panicking over what would happen I was panicking over not making friends, being alone and getting lost I was scared I’d be late and stuff like that. But in the end I kind of went for it and I had to do some of those ice breaker activities and those are awkward as hell and they’re uncomfortable but this is going to be my third week and it has surprisingly took little time for everyone to come out of their shells and be who they are. And that is my favourite thing about being at this college we can wear what we want, we have free time there, can go off campus when we don’t have lessons, do anything with our hair and you can be who you are and no one judges you for that, you actually find who you are and it’s great.

I hope you enjoyed this chatty post but if you guys have gone back to school, sixth form or college do you guys enjoy it?

Would You Rather: Beauty Edition Tag

Friday 12 September 2014

So I found this post on someones blog and I’m sorry I can’t remember and I can’t actually find the post, I’ve tried looking for the blog and the post to link it into this but I can’t find it.Also sorry for not posting as frequent as i did over the summer i've started college and i'm just getting into a routine and i haven't had as much free time. Anyway here are my answers for the Beauty Edition of would you rather.

1. Would you rather lose all your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses or lose all of your palettes and eye shadows?

I’d rather lose all my palettes and eye shadows, as I’m not a big fan of eye shadows as it takes up a lot of time and I just don’t like to wear them.

2. Would you rather chop off all of your hair or never be able to cut it again?

I think I’d rather chop it all off as that way you could wear a wig or anything like that but if you were never to cut your hair again it would become a bit like the film tangled, it would be too much.

3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or pink cheek?

Easy coral cheeks it’s a much natural shade and it can be built up nicely or it can be as natural as you want, plus It’s a much nicer shade.

4. If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or make up?

As much as I would love to spend all that on make up I think clothes are more important and I have a weakness for buying clothes. Plus you could go all out and buy very expensive clothing such as Chanel, Acne etc.

5. Would you rather apply lipstick for eyeliner or eyeliner as lipstick?

Eyeliner as lipstick I mean imagine applying lipstick for eyeliner it would be a disaster.

6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

MAC, I’ve never been to Sephora as I live in the UK so there isn’t one so I’d much rather shop only at MAC as that way I can go whenever I want.

7. Would you rather only use one eye shadow colour or one lip colour for the rest of your life?

One eye shadow I’m much more of a lip person so I rarely wear eye shadow.

8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in the summer or summer clothes in the winter?

Winter clothes in the summer, living in the UK means that sometimes the summer can be the winter or winter like weather.

9. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?

Dark nails, I love my dark colours. Plus dark colours suit me more than bright ones do.

10. Would you rather give up your favourite lip products or favourite eye products?
My favourite eye product, I couldn’t give up my favourite lip product.

11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?

Messy bun, it keeps all your hair out of the way, plus it’s a cute style and so simple.

12. Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lip-gloss?

Never paint my nails again. I love using lip products they’re my favourite make up products.

13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?

Shave my eyebrows at least that way you have other options such as drawing them on with proper eyebrow pencils or even get them tattooed on.

14. Would you rather live without make up or nail polish?

Nail polish.

So these were my answers for the Would You Rather Tag , if you decided to give this a go then leave a comment below with a link and I’ll have a look I’d love to see your answers.
