December Favourites

Monday 29 December 2014

So I was meant to put this post up on Saturday but I kind of forgot I’ve been spending a lot of time just relaxing and spending time with my mam and dad as well as forgetting to post something because I simply forgot what day it was, but this years coming to an end and I’m kind of upset realising that this year has been a big year for me and a lot of things have changed for the good mainly, but it’s crazy how fast this year has come and gone it’s been a very busy year so for the final time this year here are a few of my favourites from December.

My first favourite of the month has to Christmas themed and is my new Christmas bedding from Asda I paid £12 for a double quilt cover which came with two pillow cases to match the cover and it’s so cute. It’s red and white and has reindeers, hearts and snowflakes on, I love it and I’m going to be a bit gutted when I take it off.

(sorry for the quality this was took on my phone)

Another favourite of mine this month is my fairy lights that I’ve had since last year but I re-put them up, which they go over my mirror up over my tv (which is on the wall) and then down over my camera and tripod. They’re so cute for the winter and to make my room more festive and cozy.

(again sorry my camera settings are a bit messed up and i can't get them back to normal)

Moving away from the Christmas theme and on to TV my favourite tv program of the month is The Secret Life Of An American Teenager. Basically this is an American TV show which I’ve been watching online and it’s got Shailene Woodley in it and she plays a 15 years old called Amy who finds out she’s pregnant and it’s full of Drama and has some comedy in it, it’s quite a good program and I’m already onto season 2. Definitely one of my favourite tv programs at the moment since I usually watch more action/ supernatural relate things such as The vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Arrow or The Flash, it was quite a different program for me to watch but it’s really good if your into things like Awkward.

One of my favourite perfumes of this month has been Rebelle by rihanna now I’m not good at describing scents so I’m just going to use the one on the boots website the website says. ‘Rebelle is a delightful enticement bringing to mind not only the warmth of the Carribbean sun, reflecting Barbados-born Rihanna’s roots, but also the exhilarating whirl of her present-day city life. The perfumers behind Reb’l Fleur have teamed up once again to capture Rihanna’s essence, this time with a lush, sensual Gourmand Chypre.’ I love this perfume and I’ve had it for a year now after originally buying her Reb’l Fleur perfume and it’s definitely not an expensive perfume and at Boots a 50ml bottle costs £19.99 and the original price is £29.

And my final favourite of the month has to be my jumper from H&M which is black and grey striped and has to be my most worn item of clothing, I usually chuck a vest top under it and wear it with my leather jacket and sometimes my parka jacket I also wear it with black skinny jeans and my pair of swede wedged boots which are from Newlook, this jumper is quite oversized so for college or long days out it can be very comfortable and cosy to wear.

So these have been my final favourites for the final month of this year, I hope everyone had a great Christmas if you celebrate it and if you don’t I hope you guys had a great day and I hope everyone has a nice new year as this will probably be my last post until 2015 so I’ll post again then.

The Christmas Tag!

Saturday 6 December 2014

it's officially December so that means everything literally becomes about Christmas! it's already the 6th of December and i have my christmas decorations up and i have made my room quite christmassy (i bought Christmas bedding, have candles, a 3ft Led christmas tree and of course some fairy lights up.) i love this time of year and i was looking through Bloglovin' when i came across THIS POST on Milk Bubble Tea's blog and i thought it was so cute and to get into the Christmas Spirit i thought i would also do this tag, so here are my answers to the tag.

1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?
Oh god, there’s so many to choose from I really love the polar express I only watched that for the first time last year but it has to be my favourite it’s so cute, I also like the home alone's well I’ve seen one and I enjoyed it so I can’t wait to watch the rest of them this year! Oh and how can I forget I love the Grinch I usually watch this on Christmas Eve it’s just a nice film to make you feel Christmassy.

2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Always on Christmas day, but on Christmas Eve I do get one present which is usually a pair of Pj’s or when I was younger I used to get like bath things like when I was 4 like toys or something fun.

3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
Yeah I do, my favourite has to be last year’s Christmas so I basically got up and I opened all of my presents and my mam and  dad opened theirs and I had finished opening them and I was really pleased with what I got like I got my camera (Nikon D7000) I got some make up, perfume the usual and basically It got to about 1pm and obviously all presents were open I had seen family and it was just time to relax around and mess around with my camera and my dad showing me how to use it and stuff, after that I went to get a drink from the kitchen and my mam told me my dad wanted to see me in the sitting room so I went back in and there was this white box on the floor and basically it was a Apple Macbook Pro with retina display and I was stunned for the rest of the day it was such a surprise and it’s one of my favourites.

4. favourite festive food?
I’m not really sure there’s not much festive food I eat usually the only thing traditional is the Christmas dinner so I’m just going to go with that haha.

5. Favourite Christmas gift ?
either my camera I got last year or my macbook it’s one of the two.

6. Favourite Christmas scent?
I haven’t really got a favourite anything remotely Christmassy and I’m happy but probably the yankee candle scent which is called Sunlight on Snow not too sure if that can be classed as a Christmas scent but it’s snow and it’s a one that comes out at Christmas but it’s my favourite.

7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
Usually I just have a relaxed day and watch Christmas films or anything that is on tv along and usually on the night time I watch the Shrek deck the halls which is always on BBC One every year and for my tea that night my mam, dad and I have a Chinese it’s a tradition we’ve always done.

8. What tops your tree?
MY mam always puts an Angel on top of the tree but I’d much prefer a star on the top I’m not sure why but I don’t really like having the angel on there.

9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
This is actually really hard because I can’t actually remember and I don’t really think I asked for anything massive for Christmas as a child I usually just asked for the usual Annabelle doll or the baby born stuff. I don’t think I’ve ever asked for something, which was really crazy or extravagant.

10. What's the best part about Christmas for you?
I think the best part is Christmas day when you spend time with your family and like the exchange of presents, I love it when I see my mam and dad open there presents and I know they love it when I open my presents and I think it’s one of the best times because you can make their day by getting them something completely unexpected and it can make them so happy.

So these were my answers to the Christmas tag, if anyone wants to do the tag then here are a list of the questions and link it in the comments as i'd love to read some.

November Favourites

Sunday 30 November 2014

So Monday it’s December crazy right? This month I swear has disappeared so quickly also today i put my christmas tree up which seems crazy since it's the 30th of November but it's the only time i can do it and  I think this month has flew by because s the main thins is  that It’s been a busy month with college and my deadlines for coursework are coming up, but this month I actually have a few products that I’ve only recently bought that are in my favourites so I’m going to stop rambling and start with my favourites of the month.

My first thing that I’ve loved this month is this parka jacket, which I got last Christmas and is from Newlook. Since the Uk weather has completely dropped now and it’s too cold for my journey to college I’ve resorted into wearing this parka to keep me warm. It’s pretty simple, it has a fur lining on the hood and comes down to just above the knees. Defiantly one of my favourite jackets I own.

My next favourite is the Zoella Bath Fizz bar so I finally got around to buying an item from Zoe’s collection and this was the first thing I thought I had to try when I looked over the collection and for the price (£5 from Superdrug.)I just had to have it. I’ve almost used the entire thing and have tried it by it’s self and also with something else in the bath. The scent of the product is so fresh and relaxing it’s not overpowering so it’s really subtle. I love this product and after using it, it makes your skin very soft and smelling fresh. I may do a review of this so keep an eye out on my blog for that.

Staying on the topic of beauty products I recently bought the Rimmel London Apocalypse Lip Lacquer in the colour Big Bang, if you have read my posts before you will know I’m a fan of the Apocalypse range and I already have two in the colour ‘Nova’ and ‘Apocalypse’ and I absolutely love the quality of these and how long they last.  After only owning pink shades in this range I decided to buy ‘Big Bang’ which is a stunning red colour. Once again like the others in this range it lasts for about 2-3 hours and it is like a lip stain and it’s such a bright colour that stands out.

Another favourite of mine has been American Horror Story, I’ve been addicted to this since about the end of October. I originally started to watch it because all my friends from college seemed to talk so much about it and I decided to watch it and then I was hooked. I think the best season is Season one still but it’s a really good series to watch and if anyone wants to watch it, it’s on Netflix.

And my last favourite for the month is the Garnier Ultra blends sleek restorer shampoo and conditioner. I used this once when I first got it and originally wasn’t so keen on it, but after using it more and more I love this shampoo and conditioner set, it smells really nice and it stops my hair from being frizzy and leaves it very soft and sleek. It’s defiantly a new favourite of mine.

So these were my favourites for this month, what have been some of your favourites this month?

Music Mondays

Tuesday 25 November 2014

So it’s been a while since I’ve posted a music post and i know it's not Monday but since my last music post, which was my autumn playlist, which can be found (here.) I’ve discovered more songs most are in the alternative side of music, well I say alternative but it’s probably more along the lines of pop punk or you know I’m not going to get into this because I’ll probably get it wrong, so here is a list of some new music I’ve been listening to.

So the first song I have been listening to has been McBusted– Air guitar, I went to see McBusted back in May and It had me so excited when they said they were releasing their first single as a band and got overly excited and it’s such a catchy tune I love it so much.

The next song is by Good Charlotte and it’s called Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous, I love this song it’s been in my spotify playlist for only a few days but I once again love it it’s such a like fast song and it’s one of those songs I’ve been listening to when I’ve been walking to the college from the metro station and it just puts me in a good mood and it makes me want to dance around.

My next one has got to be a new favourite, which I found last weekend and it’s by Jamie T and I have to say he is such a great singer and my favourite song is Zombie. Once again quite an upbeat song and it’s different for me I don’t know there’s something I like about it.

I also have been loving good girls by 5sos, they’re one of my favourite bands and this song is their latest single and I’ve liked this song for a while but I really like the video to this song which came out not too long ago I think maybe a month? and it’s just one of those songs that has you up and dancing around it’s a really fun song.

Also by 5sos I’ve been enjoying their song daylight it’s off of their single album for Amnesia and it’s just a fun song again, I really like 5sos and I enjoy their songs and I love the instruments in every songs like in rejects I like the heavier instruments, but they’re just a fun band in general.

Also lately i've been enjoying listening to some pop music and recently i have been enjoying One Direction's new album Four, which is actually really good the songs on this album are really catchy and i find a lot of the time i get their song 'Stockholm Syndrome' stuck in my head along with 'Act My Age' which if you haven't heard it, it sounds very Irish or as how i've realised it kind of sounds a bit like something from Pirates Of The Caribbean, not sure why but it's very up beat but some of the songs are quite slow and the album it's self sounds very grown up for them and it's basic. It's been the one album i've had on repeat since it came out.

So these were a few songs I’ve been listening to recently and a few of my favourite artists, I have many more artists that I enjoy and have on my spotify list, which I might put into a post in the future, if you guys would like to see that then I might do a series which will be all the songs in my playlist.  What songs have you been listening to recently?
